The Tamang Heritage Trek is a trek to the most accessible trekking region in Nepal. The trek lets you experience the most beautiful scenery of beautiful mountains and lakes. The terraced green farmland, thick forests, and the magical peak of the Langtang Himalayas are some other highlights of the trek.
The Langtang region lies close to the Tibetan border making the place filled with the culture of multiple ethnic groups. You get to witness the Tamang village and their lifestyle with the beauty of nature in the Tamang Heritage Trek.
Tamang people are famous as horse traders who originated from Tibet but settled in hilly parts of Nepal later several years ago. They are much known for retaining a distinct identity with Tibetan roots. Tamang people are known for being the most marginalized ethnic group in Nepal.
1st Day: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
2nd Day: Early morning drive to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790ft) 7-8 hoursâ drive
3rd Day: Trek to Gatlang ( 2238m/7342ft) 6-hour walk
4th Day: Trek to Tatopani (2380m/7808ft) 6-7 hours walk
5th Day: Trek to Thuman (2238m/7342ft), a 5- 6 hours walk
6th Day: Trek to Briddim (2239m/7345ft), 5-6 hours walk
7th Day: Trek to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790ft), a 3-4 hours walk
8th Day: Drive back to Kathmandu (1350m/4428ft), 8-9 hoursâ drive
9th Day: Departure from Kathmandu

As per the plan, our representative will be ready to welcome you to the Himalayan country of Nepal, waiting at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You'll be taken to your hotel. We will again meet after a short refreshment break. We will head to a typical Nepalese restaurant to take dinner where we will also have a short briefing about the trip. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

We will move to the bus station after an early breakfast. From here our journey starts to the north of Kathmandu passing through the beautiful Nepalese countryside. We will finally reach Syabrubesi enjoying the scenery passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River and catching a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces, and green hills. We will stay overnight at the Syabrubesi.
Gatlang

After taking breakfast at the teahouse, the trek will ascend up to the viewpoint from where we can see the fantastic view of Goljang Valley including the sight of Ganesh Himal and Gosaikunda range. Then the trail will descend down to the Goljang where we will stop for a hot lunch. The beautiful Tamang village is another 3 hours walk from Gatlang, where we will be staying for the overnight at the lodge. After arriving at Gatlang, you will get a very warm welcome from local villagers. You can get some refreshments and explore the surrounding village area.
Tatopani

After breakfast, we will start our journey to Thangbuche through the Bhotekoshi River. You will enjoy your lunch exploring the Chilime Hydropower dam. After lunch, your trail will ascend up until you get to the Tatopani (which literally means 'hot water') village. You will have a chance to take bath in natural hot springs in the lap of the mountains. Local people believe that hot water has a healing quality that eases away your aches and pains.
Thuman

After breakfast, we will start our day ascending to Nagthali(3300m/10824ft), the open grassland with amazing views of snow-covered mountains. We will continue the trek to Brimdang, enjoying the panoramic view. After lunch, our trek will then ascend to Nagthali Danda where we will spend some time at the local Gompa. Then, our trek will continue down to Thuman village. You will spend time exploring the interesting lifestyle of this Tibetan-influenced Tamang village. Overnight at Thuman.
Briddim

On this day, we will start the trek after having our breakfast. We will start the easy walk to Timure Village passing through the old trade route to Tibet. We will have a great opportunity to observe the historical Rasuwagadi fort, a reminder of the Nepal-Tibetan relations that have existed for many centuries. We will also stop here for our lunch. After lunch, the walk continues to Briddim. We will get the unique experience of staying at a local house with the host family, living with them, eating traditional foods, and sleeping in their usual clean bed. They might also offer you their local foods like plain rice, Tibetan bread, Syakpa (Sherpa Stew), Potato, Tibetan tea, and Briddim wine. We stay the night at Briddim enjoying the local dances.
Syabrubesi

The trek will descend down to Syabrubesi via Wangel village on this day. The trail will move along a gently descending path passing through villages, terraces, and magnificent views of surrounding hills. Overnight at Syabrubesi.

Farewell Dinner, Breakfast & Lunch

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu. We drive back enjoying the splendid views of hills, mountains, terraces, and villages. You can spend the remaining time resting and exploring the nightlife in Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

On the last day of the trip, you are free to go for last-minute shopping for souvenirs or gifts for your family, friends, or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive. You can also go for any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If you are ready for departing, you'll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onward destination.
