Everest Base Camp trek with a return by Helicopter to Kathmandu is an amazing journey to explore the base camp of the highest peak in the world and return by Helicopter. It is one of the journeys that are the most preferred trek to explore the Everest base camp and return with ease.

Everest Base Camp Trek with a return by Helicopter to Kathmandu Trip Introduction:

You'll trek to the  Everest Base Camp and then immediately take a helicopter back from Kala Patthar. In other words, we will only have to walk the half distance, and the remaining distance will be covered by the helicopter ride. Isn't this a very fantastic idea? You'll have to trek for only 6 to 7 hours a day. This is a simple task for seasonal trekkers but for those trekkers who are not adaptive to trekking, the trek might be a difficult piece of cake.

The trek is the best choice for those who want to explore the beauty of trekking, explore the Sherpa settlements, enjoy the beauty of the Everest Region, and experience a thrilling helicopter flight above the highest peak in the world. Along with trekking through the Everest region, you'll also get an amazing bird's eye view of it. The trek gives you the opportunity to experience both flying over and traveling through traditional settlements like Tengboche, Namche Bazaar, and Phakding.

In the early morning, you will board the plane that will fly you directly from Kathmandu to Lukla. You will land at Lukla Airport, one of the most hazardous airports in the world, after around 40 minutes of flight. You will get a beautiful view of the mountains and other scenery while you are in the air. Once you land in Lukla, you will begin your walk to Phakding. From Lukla to Phakding, the trek will be quite straightforward. The route-way will be rather pleasant and simple to navigate due to the stone-stacked paths. This day won't provide you with many difficulties because you only have a few uphills to hike. As you proceed towards Phakding, you will cross suspension bridges across a number of small towns. It will be an opportunity for you to interact with the people.

We will begin the journey from Phakding to Namche Bazaar which will be one of the longest days of the trek. In order to leave Phakding, we have to begin the walk for the day by crossing a suspension bridge. You will have to present your permit at the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Permit Checking Counter, which is reached after a short amount of walking. After checking your permit, we will proceed closer to Namche Bazaar. You will be walking on a trail with several stairs. You will see several views of wide valleys, rivers, and peaks as you proceed. Along the way, you will pass across several small Sherpa towns. Due to the length of the day's trekking, you will halt in one of the villages for lunch and a break. You can anticipate interacting with a lot of locals. You'll get a glimpse of their way of life and culture through that.

Anyone who plans to reach Everest Base Camp will have to spend at least one day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. This type of rest day aids hikers in acclimatizing to freshly attained altitudes. Without adequate acclimatization, it is quite perilous to hike beyond Namche Bazaar on the Everest Base Camp Trek. You will therefore spend this day just getting accustomed to heights. A quick hike around Namche will be provided for your acclimatization on this day. Your body will be prepared for the adventures ahead, thanks to the hike. On this day of acclimatization, you will have a variety of trekking options. You can also hike to one of the highest-located hotels, Everest View Hotel which is reachable by foot. Alternatively, you could visit and see large Sherpa communities like Khumjung (3,780m) and Khunde (3,860m). Additional possible destinations to hike include going to the Syangboche Airport, the Sherpa Culture Museum, or the Sagarmatha National Park Information Center.

After two nights in Namche Bazaar, we will have a farewell to the place. To leave the village and get to the sand route, you will join the uphill track. The path grows easier and straight as you move forward. While walking along the path, you can readily observe a number of mountains, including the enormous one. You'll hike while taking in the views and then push through the final stretch to Tengboche. The last section is a comfortable climb because it is gradual. As you get closer to the settlement, you will notice the Tengboche Monastery in the background. The settlement's monastery is its claim to fame. The blessings of the monastery and the spectacular mountain scenery of the village will give you a warm welcome. We will rest for the night at one of the lodges. Tengboche is home to a number of teahouses.

Then, while sliding, you will pass through the small settlement of Deboche. In addition to serving as an alternative to the lodgings provided by the Tenboche, this settlement also has some teahouses. In addition, the ascent begins immediately after leaving Deboche behind. Every forward movement will result in some height gain. As you continue on your walk, you'll have better views of Lhotse, Nuptse, and Everest. The next stop is the village of Shomare, which is near Dingboche. Later, the trip will continue until you reach the Dingboche and cross the river on a bridge. Spend the night at Dingboche.

You're not going to move higher this time. You must take the direct route. Walking the route, you'll pass through Pheriche, one of the well-known settlements in the area, and continue deep into the valley. You can continue the trek up to the Everest Memorial, a site devoted to the fallen souls in the Everest Expedition, which is located at the peak (Thukla Pass). The beautiful view of the Khumbu Glacier and the surrounding area makes the journey worthwhile. You will have enough breathtaking views to savor and document while traversing the valley throughout the day. We will hike from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and then to Everest Base Camp on the day. The day will put your planning, diligence, and excitement to the test. At Lobuche, you'll fill up on a hearty breakfast to get the day started. Your initial objective will be to arrive at Gorak Shep promptly because that is where your second half will begin. The Khumbu Glacier's terminal moraines will be traversed on the journey to Gorak Shep. The Nuptse and other snow-covered summits will frequently taunt you as you walk. Be careful not to become fixated on the scenery as you walk because the terrain becomes more difficult as you go. Although the route to Gorak Shep is rather difficult and unsteady, it doesn't take more than three hours. As you depart Gorakshep for Everest Base Camp, the second portion of the day begins. The journey to the base camp and back takes about 4 hours. You'll join the trail that runs alongside the Khumbu Glacier to accomplish it. You will get closer and closer to Everest Base Camp as you cross the rocky, uneven path and take in the unusual scenery. Finally, you will arrive at Everest Base Camp. It is the time when your wish to stand at the foot of the world's highest mountain will be fulfilled. Here, all of your arduous hiking days will have been rewarded. You'll capture enough images of the environment and your own presence there. Look around this iconic location from every angle. Take as many pictures as you can of Mount Everest and other neighboring peaks. And keep a lifetime of memories of the entire experience.

As we all know, one of the highlights of this walk is Kalapatthar, which is renowned for having the greatest views of Mount Everest and for having the most breathtaking sunrises behind the mountain. Your final day of travel will take you to Kalapatthar, allegedly the best location to see Mount Everest. This day's walk will just take one to two hours, so there is no need for you to rush. Behind the rugged hills, you can see Pumori Mountain from here. You will like this part of the day because there is no tough walking involved—just a beautiful view of the Everest region and an easy-to-follow trail. The best thing about this hike is that, after you get to Kala Patthar, you can see the entire Everest region. The trail is, nevertheless, as rocky as it can be. Be careful around those sharp rocks. The highest point on the Everest Base Camp Trek Helicopter Return journey is Kalapatthar which will soon be reached. Mt. Everest is clearly visible from this location, hence, you will experience a sight unlike any other. Before returning to Gorakshep over the same road, you will have plenty of time to take lots of photos. After breakfast, you will pack up everything you own and leave the Gorakshep. The helicopter will start warming up for the flight as you are about to finish the tour. In good weather, the helicopter trip from Gorekshep to Kathmandu may take about 70 minutes, not including ground handling time. The air time may also be affected by the weather. During the flight, you will get to see the Everest region from above. This will allow you to finish the Everest Base Camp Trek and take a helicopter ride back. What a journey you will embark on!
