Overview

Trip Introduction:
Pokhara Day Excursion is a great trip to explore the beautiful city of Pokhara. Pokhara is a paradise for nature lovers and the ideal destination for a day trip. Pokhara has an impressive panoramic view of the stunning Annapurna range and Machhapuchhare Peaks. The surroundings offer the most popular trekking trails in the Annapurna region, the dense Annapurna circuit, and the Jomsom Treks. Along with these hiking trails, there are also some equally fascinating short trips such as Sarankot, Naudanda, Ghandruk and Ghorepani. Nepal vision offers the following day trip program at Pokhara city.

We will start our day excursion early in the morning. We will take the trip to multiple locations throughout the day. The locations that we will be traveling to are:

Phewa Lake: It is the second-largest lake in Nepal, situated at the center of Pokhara adding to its beauty. The changing light of the sun on Phewa Lake provides an aesthetic calm for nature lovers. On the east side of the lake, visitors can find various restaurants and bars. In addition to these attractions, you can also participate in boating, sailing, kayaking, swimming, bird watching, and fishing in Phewa Lake. In the midst of the lake stands the Varahi Temple, where Hindu worshippers offer animal and bird sacrifices to the goddess Varahi every Saturday.

David's Fall: It is a charming waterfall about 2 km southwest of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Gupteswar Gupha is located very close to David's fall, a mysterious and sacred cave with a special value for the Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is perfectly preserved here in the condition it was discovered in. The place is truly amazing to spend time in.

Bindhyabasini Temple: The temple is the oldest religious shrine in Pokhara built in the 16th century. The main shrine of the temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga where Hindu worshippers flock to perform sacrifices, especially on Saturday early in the morning.

Mahendra Gupha and Chamero Gufa are two other major, attractive natural sites reached after a two-hour walk north of Pokhara. Seti Gandaki Gorge is a wonder of nature that goes underground, vanishing from sight in many places along its route through the city. World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa, is also an impressive site in Pokhara situated on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake.

The Old Bazaar, 4 km away from Phewa Lake, is a traditional bazaar and a colorful gathering place for an ethnically diverse group of traders. This old bazaar is also home to one of Pokhara's most important shrines, the Bindhyabasini Mandir.
