Itinerary

Welcome to the country of the Himalayas. One of our representatives will be waiting for your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport to assist you with further journeys. After taking a short refreshment break, we will meet again in the evening for the welcome dinner, where we will also have a short briefing about the trip before you go for your stay at the Hotel.

After an early breakfast, we will start the day with our guided trip to cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley. We take a visit to the pilgrimage sites of the Hindu temple Pashupatinath, the world's biggest stupa Bouddhanath stupa, and the monkey temple Swoyambhunath Stupa. After exploring the surrounding areas, we visit the historical Kathmandu Durbar Square to explore its unique architecture and the living goddess, Kumari. We spend the evening discussing the trip and a short introduction session with the fellow trekking staff.

On the third day, we will fly an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to the tiny airstrip at Lukla which will take about 40 minutes. You will have some time to stroll around as the guide will be sorting and dividing the load of baggage to be carried by porters. The guide will manage the lunch place for you depending upon the time we arrive at Lukla. The easy walk to Phakding village ends at our overnight stop in one of its lodges. We will then spend the rest of the time strolling around the village.

After breakfast, we will continue the walk up the banks of the Dudh Kosi. We will cross the river twice by small suspension bridges before we reach the village of Monjo, the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. When entering the National Park boundary, we will descend and a gradual walk will bring us again to the suspension bridge over the Dudh-Koshi River to Jorsalle village. Jorsalle village is known for being the last village till Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a prosperous trading town that is also the capital of the Khumbu Region.

We will spend the day in Namche Bazaar. We will relax, rest and allow our bodies to become acclimatized to the altitude. You can take a full-day leisure or spend time by visiting Everest View Point Hotel for a wonderful panoramic view. You can also stroll around the market in the Namche Bazaar. The local people call the market ‘Saturday Bazaar’ as it is only the shopping marketing in the area that opens on Saturday only. You can also visit Sherpa Museum to learn about Sherpa culture and the history of mountaineering. Stroll back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After strolling around the Namche area, we will continue the gradual trail with a few short up and downs overlooking the magnificent view of the great giant snow peaks at Shanasa. Our trek will ascent the left side to Mongla Hill. We will continue our trek down to Phortse Thanga. After lunch, we will walk for a further few hours to reach Dole. Overnight at Dole.

After breakfast, we will climb to the scenic ridge above the Dole and the trail will continue to climb along the side of the valley, high above the river, crossing sandy spurs to reach Machharmo. We will reach Machharmo in the afternoon. After getting refreshed, you can visit the Himalayan rescue association and overnight at the hotel.

We will climb up to the ridge that offers an excellent view both down the valley to Khangtega and the northern part to the Cho-Oyu (8201m/26899ft). The trail will then descend to the river bank before we begin the climb up to the terminal moraine of the Ngazumpa glacier. Going further, we find that the trail will level out as it follows the valley past a second lake, known as Longponga (4690m/15383ft). We will enjoy the lake view and after an hour's walk, we will reach Gokyo village on the edge of the third lake.

You will spend the day at Gokyo. You will have a great chance to explore up to the fifth lake. This is a great opportunity to view the full part of Mt. Everest and Cho-Oyu. From here, you get an amazing view of the Northern part of Cho-Oyu base camp and the biggest glacier in the world, Ngazumpa glacier. Stroll back to the hotel overnight.

We will hike up early morning to Gokyo Ri for the breathtaking view of the splashing sunrise on top of the mountain including the Mt. Everest view. We can get unforgettable lifetime memories at the top. We will trek for an hour to Gokyo for breakfast. We will then trek down to Thaknak for the overnight passing through the second lake on the trail. We will also walk past the glacier.

This day is considered one of the tough days to cross the Cho-la because of the high pass on the trail. The pass is steep and involves a glacier traverse on the eastern side which may make it quite difficult for you. After crossing the Cho-la, we will reach Dzongla where we will be staying overnight. You will enjoy the fantastic view of the place.

We will continue the trek along the moraine of the glacier, with views of Kalapathar and Pumori. You will have a good chance to get the best view of Mt. Nuptse in front of you. After lunch at Gorekhshep, we will hike to Kalapatther for the great sunset view over the Himalayas. The trail up to the Gorakshep might be rocky and windy but it offers a good view of Pumori. You get beautiful views of the Everest Base camp and glacier with scenic mountain views from the place. We enjoy the night at Gorakshep.

After breakfast at Gorekshep, we get ready for our adventure to the targeted destination. We will  continue our trek towards the Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Ice-fall. The walk might get quite strenuous due to the high altitude and thin air. The walk will also pass through rocky dunes and moraines till you reach the base camp. After a grand time in the Everest Base Camp, we will retrace the journey back to Gorekshep for the overnight at the lodge.

Our journey early morning will continue to climb to the top of the famous viewpoint, Kalapatthar. After reaching the top, you will feel beaming as you achieve the moment that you have been dreaming, of since the beginning of the trek. Kalapatthar offers the view that is beyond the imagination. The highest peak in the world, Everest looks completely amazing from Kalapatthar. You can also see the Everest Base camp down below on the moraine of Khumbu glacier and a lot of picturesque scenery. After enjoying the panoramic views, we will stroll back to Gorakshep and trek down to the Imja Valley at Dingboche.

The walk on this day will be easy, heading downhill to a lower elevation from Dingboche.  The walk will be pleasant walk all the way to Tyangboche. After crossing the bridge, our route will descend following the stream towards Pangboche village, and further down to Tyangboche. Tyangboche is one of the most beautiful places in the Himalayas. The first thing that will come to your eye is the big Monastery, then the large field with campsites and teahouses, lodges beneath the towering majestic beautiful peak of Ama Dablam.

After breakfast, the treks will take us down to Phunkethanga, a small settlement with a couple of teahouses. From here the trail will lead downhill through the forested path with great memories. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, the trek will go onward to the steep climb to Sanasa and then to Namche bazaar. We finish the trek after we reach Monjo for the overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will start the trek back to Lukla. We will spend time enjoying the lush green scenery around us and pass through the incredible mountain scenery. The trail will finally lead you back to Lukla. After your arrival in Lukla, you will have time to relax and celebrate the completion of your trek.

We will take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Our guide will be helping you to get transferred to your hotel. You will have some time to relax after a long journey and take back your breath.

You get the chance to explore the market for last-minute shopping for souvenirs or gifts for your family, friends, or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive. You can also go for any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If you are ready for departing, you'll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onward destination. We wish you a wonderful Himalayan adventure with us!
