Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour is a journey to one of Nepal's most popular Hindu pilgrimage sites. Muktinath has very huge importance as per the religious view of the Hindu and Buddhist people. The 6-day Muktinath Pilgrimage tour takes you to the sacred temple, letting to explore the natural and religious side of the country too.

Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour Overview:

The tour takes you to Kathmandu and Pokhara, two beautiful cities in Nepal. You can explore the historical aspects of Kathmandu Valley and enjoy relaxation time around the places in Pokhara. The trip is the best opportunity to explore the places of Nepal with very little physical strength. The time spent in Muktinath can be a very serene time for most of us.

Muktinath has 108 water springs, a number that carries great significance in Hindu philosophy. One truly feels liberated when paying a visit to this holy site and if one can take a bath under the 108 waterspouts with really freezing water pouring out.

Itinerary Outline:

1st Day: Arrival day in Kathmandu
2nd Day: Visit Pashupatinath and Budhanilkantha Temple & Fly to Pokhara
3rd Day: Flight to Jomsom (2,715m/8,910ft), Drive to Muktinath(3,710 m/12168ft) and back to Jomsom
4th Day: Flight back from Jomsom to Pokhara and Sightseeing tour and fly back to Kathmandu
5th Day: Free day in Kathmandu
6th Day: Departure from Kathmandu

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan Intl airport, our representative will be ready to welcome you and assists you to transfer into your hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, you'll be transferred for a welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants with cultural & musical programs in the heart of Kathmandu. Later, you'll also have a short briefing about your trip. Overnight at the Hotel.

On the second day of the trip, you will be guided to the pilgrimage sites of the Hindus in Kathmandu which are the Pashupatinath temple, and the biggest sleeping Bishnu statue Budhanilkantha temple. In the afternoon, we will fly to Pokhara. It is very well known that Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty. The enchanting city has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of the lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambiance of peace and magic. And after reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to the hotel, where you can explore the surrounding areas if you like. Overnight at hotel.

On this day, we will fly to Jomsom in a super scenic flight of 20 minutes bringing you to Jomsom, the district headquarter of Mustang. From Jomsom, we will drive on the gradual & windy path on the Kali Gandaki riverbed to finally reach Muktinath. After visiting the Muktinath Temple where you can also take the Holy bath in 108 water taps, we will then drive back to Jomsom for an Overnight stop.

The fourth day of the trip will start with the flight to Pokhara. This will be a dramatic flight between the gorge of the two huge mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Upon arrival at Pokhara airport, our guide will transfer you for the sightseeing tour of Devi’s fall, Gupteshwore Mahadev cave, Bindyabasini Temple, and Barahi Temple. Later, we will fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

You can take the Mountain flight if you are willing to pay an extra cost. The mountain flights are operated daily by domestic airlines but we have to consider the weather conditions. It is a guaranteed flight, which means operated only when the weather is good and the view is satisfactory. This is approximately a one-hour flight that leaves from Kathmandu airport in the early morning to get the best view. You can enjoy a seemingly endless chain of snow-capped peaks as you fly above the clouds, over glaciers and lakes, rivers, and gorges from your window. Besides Mt. Everest (8848m), there are many other peaks standing over 8000m high that can be sighted. Overnight Kathmandu.

This day can be a spare day for you to shop for souvenirs or gifts for your family, friends, or relatives for you until your departure flight or commencing any extra trips or activities. If you are ready for departing, you'll be taken to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onward destination.

The best month to visit Muktinath is September, October, and November. It is during the spring when there is not much wind and rain which makes the path easier to travel.

Muktinath Temple is located at a height of 3750m. It is located in the Mustang District of Nepal with an extreme environment, surrounded by rugged, snow-clad mountains and a sacred place between the Himalayas.

Muktinath is an important place of dakinis, Sky gods, and one of the 24 Tantric places for Tibetan Buddhists. Besides, for Hindus, Muktinath carries a lot of importance and is a big pilgrimage place in sense of the importance.

The 1.5 hours drive to Muktinath is an easy and almost 45 minutes road that takes you through the bank of Kali Gandaki. As the road is being extended and will be pitched soon, the road is awesome from Kagbeni.
