Devendra Wagle
Managing Director

Devendra Wagle stepped into the worthwhile trekking industry of Nepal as a young and hardworking entrepreneur with a wide vision and dream. With a very decent start in the industry, he utilized every possible precious learning opportunity in his growing career which led him to thousands of innovative ideas. Within a short period, he realized massive potential Nepal has for trekking which resulted in his sharp mind to make the sector professional. Tourism in Nepal carries a lot of hopes and ambitions and shoulders most of the economic aspects as well. With aspirations to be a pioneer in the tourism industry of Nepal, he started Nepal Vision almost three decades ago. Mr. Wagle aimed to enhance the trekking sector and improve the quality of service Nepal was offering to trekkers and climbers coming to Nepal from all over the world. 

Being a responsible managing director he has been handling all the daily activities of the company. From making the company solvent, and helping with the expansion of its functionalities of the company, he kept his promises by always being a hard-working professional and a dedicated asset. He has a very exclusive vision for the company which has helped ‘Nepal Vision Treks and Expedition’ to be one of the leading local tour operators in Nepal at present. 

Since the start, he has always been an enthusiastic person who never gets tired of learning new things. Besides being the head, he has always been a very big positive influence on others. With relentless pursuit and passion to be a game-changer in the industry, he has picked his team for Nepal Vision with a similar mindset. Thus it comes as no surprise that Nepal Vision has been the best trekking company in Nepal. After all these years in the business, his enthusiasm to keep on learning remains. Mr. Wagle is enthusiastic about technology and always looks for ways to incorporate the latest technology to provide better service to the guests. He executes his unique strategies in the company which can be clearly seen from the output the company has been giving recently. 

Apart from being a Managing director in the well-recognized Nepal Vision Treks and Expedition, Devendra Wagle is also a recognized figure in the trekking sector of Nepal. He is the executive member of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), the national alpine association of Nepal. With the responsibilities of Nepal Vision, he has also been promoting mountain tourism and climbing sports as well as promoting and protecting the environmental and cultural heritage of mountains. 

Besides this, the NMA is also authorized to issue climbing permits for 33 mountain peaks of Nepal. Despite all these burdens on his shoulders, he has always proved himself as a responsible person. Along with their experience as an executive member of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) and his present position as Managing Director, he has set himself as an example for many of the youths.

Moreover, Mr. Wagle is also a member of the executive committee of HAN, Hotel Association Nepal. After being engaged with HAN he has successfully made a huge impact on the government policy formulation and setting up rules and regulations regarding the hotel and tourism industry. Being in the tourism industry, he has widely spread his knowledge in the field of development aspects for his company and country as well.

In addition to the tourism sector, he also has a hand in social service. He is the chairman of a non-profit organization in Kathmandu, Pioneer Foundation Nepal. The organization specially deals with contributing to the upliftment of marginalized, backward, and impoverished individuals. He has been running various programs and charities through events in education, health, environment, sanitation, and livelihood to bring social change in society.
