Kathmandu World Heritage Site Tour

The Kathmandu valley is home to one of Asia’s most ancient civilizations. Kathmandu has hundreds of monuments and pilgrimage sites for Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims alike. There are seven UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu and hundreds of other historical monuments.

Our one day’s Kathmandu World Heritage Site Tour allows you the cultural and architectural marvels of Kathmandu. We start early after breakfast and head to Kathmandu Durbar Square. This historic site used to be the home of early royals. At present, it is home to the living goddess Kumari and a museum. Some of the prominent temples and deities here include the Taleju Mandir, Kasthamandap, Bhairav, Hanuman and the Kumari Ghar.

From Kathmandu Durbar Square, we will head to Pata Durbar Square. First built in 299 AD, this UNESCO world heritage site is a fine exhibition of ancient Newari architecture. Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Mandir, Viswanath Mandir, Taleju Bhawani, Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and the likes are some of the notable sites of Patan Durbar Square which used to be the home of Malla kings of the past.

From Pata, we will head to Bouddhanath Stupa. Called Jyarung Khashor in Tibetan language, this grand Stupa is situated in the northeast of Kathmandu valley and is considered as one of the biggest stupas in the world. The spinning prayer wheels, swaying prayer flags and the soothing Tibetan chants add extra element to the beauty of this spectacular Stupa. The Stupa premises will also offer perfect views of the Kathmandu valley bathing in the evening sun. After enjoying some quality time in the Swayambhunath premises, we will transfer you to your hotel as the Kathmandu World Heritage Site Tour concludes.

Kathmandu Cycling Tour

Kathmandu Nagarkot Downhill Cycling

Live the thrills of downhill biking in our Kathmandu Nagarkot Cycling Tour. We will drive you to Nagarkot from your hotel and we will start our downhill biking from as high as 2,000 meters. As we peddle our way down the downhill trails, the Himalayan peaks will look upon us. The terraced farmlands, village lives and ancient temples will welcome us along our way. We will descend down to Bhaktapur, a historic town full with ancient palaces, squares, temples, streets and houses. We will cycle through Bhaktapur and back to Kathmandu.

Budhanilkantha Kapan Bouddha Cycling

We will start cycling from our meeting point and head towards Budhanilkantha. The road is comfortable steady uphill. Budhanilkantha is popular for the largest sleeping statue of Lord Vishnu. We will explore the Budhanilkantha area and head towards Kapan. In doing so, we will be taking dirt trails and off roads. The trails will offer some fantastic view of Kathmandu valley. Once we reach Kapan, we will have our lunch, take rest and take some time to explore the Kapan Monastery before heading towards Bouddha. Once at Bouddha, we will spend some quiet time in the Bouddhanath Stupa with the Tibetan prayer flags, prayer wheels and music. After taking some rest, we will head back to where we started and we will transfer you to your hotel.

We will then head down to David Falls and Gupteshwor Gufa. The mysterious waterfall has many stories and mythologies attached to it and so has the neighboring cave. The view of the waterfall from inside the cave is a wonderful one to behold.

From there we will head up to Mahendra Cave. On the way we stop by the Seti river George. The water flows deep down the narrow rocky George and we can only hear the sound of the waters. We will then head to Mahendra cave and explore the cave before heading to Bidhavashini temple. From there we can head to the Prithwi Narayan Campus to observe the Butterfuly museum, considered to be the largest collection of butterfly species in the world. There is old town with traditional Pokhreli Houses nearby the Nayabazaar and Mohoriya Tole. We will take time to stroll around those town areas before concluding our day trip.
