Our Climbing guide Dendi Sherpa leads second time a successful expedition to Everest in spring 2009. He leads the team of “Expedition for the new Constitution and world peace 2009, Nepal”. In addition, we have also organized a number of private expeditions, including the highly successful Everest expedition in spring 2007. We are now taking applications for our 2010 expedition. Please contact us at Nepal Vision if you are interested in joining our any peak climbing & other expedition team.
This season seven hundred eighty mountaineers from 98 different expeditions reached the summit of different peaks of the country in the three-month period, according to the mountaineering division of Ministry of Culture and Civil Aviation said.

This year 284 climbers from 29 different expeditions reached the summit of Mt Everest. The number of expedition, however, was lower than last year when 33 expeditions had scaled the highest peak in the planet.

However, eight climbers died while trying different peaks this season. Three persons died on Everest, while two died in Makalu. Sergey Lavrov of Kazakhstan and Lakpa Nuru Sherpa and Kaji Sherpa of Nepal died while climbing Mt Everest this season. Piotr Jerzy Morawski of Poland, Dr Szabo of Hungary , Deepak Prasai of Nepal and an unidentified Indian also perished in the Himalayas this season.

After more than three decades, two climbers succeeded in reaching the summit of Mt Cho Oyu this season. The government had permitted the duo to climb the mountain without taking any permit fee as a part of promoting Nepal Tourism Year 2011 campaign.
