Our adventure begins from the famed ancient Gorkha Kingdom in the western region
of Nepal. The trek follows upstream of the Buri-Gandaki river from the sub-tropical
forest to the dry Tibetan zone, offering outstanding views of Mt. Manasalu 8,156m,
the 8th highest peak in the world along with the panorama of the surrounding magnificent
peaks that straddle the border with Tibet.
The trek continues with meet rugged people of Tibetan stock. Visit traditional
villages with their flat-rooted timber houses and workshops in secluded Buddhist
monasteries. Enjoy inspiring views of Manasalu. Larkya La Pass marks the divide
between Manasalu less trekked western flanks and the Marshyangdi River valley.
From the top of the pass, it is almost down-hill through the serene alpine forests
and meadows till we come to the main trail of the Annapurna circuit, after being
on the main track for a few days our journey continues towards Pokhara via another
secret route seldom used by trekkers offering stunning views of the Manasalu
and Annapurna range including the magnificent majestic Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish
Tail) with the traditional mid hills villages with some highlights of world
heritages sites in Kathmandu valley are an another attractions of this visit
and life time memories after this journeys.
At 6 am your Sherpa will come to your tent with a chirpy good morning, followed shortly by a basin of hot water to wash in. Then it's time to order breakfast, pack up your kit and head off to trek for the next three hours through forests, hills, mountains and local villages. You'll stop for an hour at a particularly pleasant spot along the way for a well-earned hot lunch. Then you'll then walk another three hours or so, before you stop for the night. Then you can have tea or coffee and some light snacks, before exploring the area with trek leader or just relaxing until dinner is served in a tented dining hall.
The evenings are spent reading or chatting with your fellow trekkers and crew about the trip so far(s). A pack of cards is an asset on these nights; the crew love teaching various Nepali card games and learning new Western games. Finally, it's off to bed for a well deserved night's rest before you start it all again.
