Trip Overview

Nepal, historical and cultural center of Asia, is a popular destination for adventure-travel, sightseeing and holidaying. It consists of splendid mountains, including seven of the fourteen Eight-thousanders. Out of 3 geographical regions in Nepal, the southern region (Terai) is mostly inhabited by Bhojpuris and Tharus, whereas, Middle Hills have variety of ethnic tribes (from Brahmins and Chhetris to Gurung, Rai, Limbu), and the Northern region (Himalaya) is mostly inhabited by Tibetan Buddhists and Mongols.

The sub-tropical forest in the Terai region of Nepal offers rare sightings of the endangered species of Royal Bengal Tiger and One-horned Rhino.

The three ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur), are epitome of ancient and elegant architecture, folk-cultures and colorful festive. Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, these cities pack a concentration of authentic Hindu and Buddhist monuments. Ranging from the hill stations of Dhulikhel and Nagarkot, lakeside city of Pokhara, eco-park of Chitwan, historical region of Tansen and Gorkha to the revered region of Lumbini and Muktinath, Nepal offers a cocktail of variety of art, culture, tradition and history.
