Trip Overview

If you are planning to visit Nepal and India for the first time, there is no better option than the Tour of Golden Triangle covering Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Varanashi, Agra, Jaipur and Delhi. This tour is the most popular tourist circuit in the greater Indian Subcontinent. The incredible tour comprises an exotic visit of Nepal and India.

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is the major attraction for its evocative city squares, tribal culture, ancient architecture and historical monuments. The ancient city of Nepal represents an epitome of harmony in urban design, elegant architecture and refined culture. The city packs a concentration of religious monuments unequalled in the world, mostly recognized as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, are also the main attraction for visitors. You get numbers of opportunities to explore in different ways. It would be a serious oversight for any travelers to Nepal to neglect visiting at least some of the fascinating and beautiful places of interest.

Lumbini (birth place of Buddha) and Chitwan National Park give you a unique glimpse of Southern Nepal.

The land of Varanasi (Kashi), also referred as “Benaras,” has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Located in the banks of holy river of Ganges, Varanasi is the oldest living city in the world. It’s believed that, "Varanasi is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together." Hindus believe, the one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth, therefore, it has been one of the four spot for organizing the Great “Kumbh mela.”

Delhi, the political and historical capital of India, makes up one of the cornerstones of the Golden triangle. Finding its genesis in the Mahabharata (an Indian epic) as Indraprastha, and later as the epitome of Delhi Sultanate and Mughals, today the city has transformed itself into a new incarnation. Considered as the most colorful and vibrant city, Delhi It is the perfect cocktail of the older and the newer traditions -which will inspire, amaze and fascinate you every second. The India Gate, Red Fort, Jama Masjid (Central Mosque), Chandni Chowk, Kutub Minar, Jantar-Mantar, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Akshardham Temple and Bahai Temple are few of the noteworthy destinations in Delhi. It is also a popular hub for North-Indian cuisines and budget shopping.

Agra, a medieval city on the banks of Yamuna River, was founded by Sultan Sikandar Lodi (Lodi Dynasty) in 1956. It achieved its fame as the capital city of the Mughal empire from 1526 to 1658, and still remains a major tourist destination for its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the “Taj Mahal -a mausoleum built by Shah Jahan (5th Mughal Emperor) in the memory of his favorite consort Mumtaj Mahal,” Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all three of which are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Jaipur, the most vibrant capital of Rajasthan, also known as the Pink City, was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing II. It was the first planned city of India; beautifully laid out gardens and parks, culturally rich monuments, architectures and marvelous heritage hotels, which were once the residence of Maharajas, are worthy of admiration. Visit to Amber fort, City Palace, Jantar-Mantar, Hawa Mahal, the ambling camels on the Great Thar desert and cheerful people in multi-hued costumes will make your trip a memorable one.
