Nepal Vision is run as a business with a conscience, where profit isn't our sole definition of success. We believe in treating the people, communities and suppliers we do business with fairly and lending support to the causes that we believe in. We make an effort where possible to support pro-poor tourism ventures and ensure that the benefits of travel are distributed more equitably in the rural societies. We believe that we have a responsibility to raise awareness with our travellers of some the realities of the places we travel through and help where we can. As a responsible and sustainable tour operator, Nepal Vision Treks has launched the Child Education Program having the goal of providing the school level education to talent, poor, disable, orphans, and conflict-affected children in a tender to empower them a better chance to live a happy, secure and healthy life and future through the means of education.
Nepal Vision, as one of the primary supporters, has been working in the coordination directly to the local villager’s community in rural Nepal. After the discussion between the local people we focused our work for the underprivileged, marginalized, poor and minority group of people. Making this program effective, Nepal Vision seeks financial support from its clients and various donors. With the funds collected from the donors, it passes to its community service project. The fund received will be directly utilized for the children's school fees, stationeries, School Maintenance and other necessary educational resources. Though the school is located within the village, there is no lodging or accommodation cost which makes this genuinely educational based sponsorship. All your money is going towards their educational needs. In return, you can see and feel the real impact that your support has made as we keep in contact via letters and with regular school reports, photos and updates.
Who are the beneficiaries?
1) Conflict-affected children who are physically and mentally disturbed
2) Children from poor family who have left their education incomplete
3) Those who are titled as so called lower casts in their society,
4) The orphans who are neglected by their parents,
5) Sympathy even goes for those guides and porters who are making a very hard journey in the Himalayas with you in order to shape the future of their children. If you are directly ready to help their children, please contact in our office desk.
We oath, the contribution you make, directly benefit the above mentioned groups as this project is aimed at empowering all those underprivileged children and community as well. We realize, education is only a powerful tool to combat their misfortunes and shape their future. Since children are the hope of the future, empowered children in the long run will undoubtedly empower the whole community and thus, the entire nation.
How can you help?
“Investing in children is investing in the future.” You have the will power to make a difference in the lives of these poor souls by supporting this project with your donation. Annually, sponsors will contribute to the scholarship program for these children. The cost to educate one child for an entire year is USD250, which is our ordinary sponsorship program. 84% of the funds collected will go directly to the children for the educational needs and 16% of the amount goes for administrative purpose and local coordinators. Local guardians will be authorized to utilize this fund for children's education. We have the local monitors who will ensure that the funds are used for the children’s educational needs and who will also evaluate whether the children are really benefited or not. Moreover they will report the children’s progress in school. We will periodically send you the children's regular progress report in every six months to assure you that the contribution you made has indeed been useful for the purposes for which it was intended.
With our sponsorship project we are aiming for the long term commitment from you as even in the future sponsorship may require for their High School and University Education. If your sponsored child is extremely talented he/she may even get the golden opportunity to study abroad, which can certainly benefit the world. This is what we believe and plead you for your generosity.

School and class room Maintenance Program
This is an opportunity to help in a wide range of practical village-based projects. These projects could be as basic as painting or plastering, however, those with additional skills may be able to help in more advanced work. Projects are usually decided upon in consultation with local communities, but you can use your initiative to suggest projects of your own. It is vital to be sensitive to the needs and wishes of the local community. Projects are usually partly funded by the communities and partly by our partner organization and/or volunteer contributions. You'll work with other volunteers in small groups, usually with minimal supervision. Often you'll also work alongside villagers, learning about traditional methods of building and working. Example projects include school repair and decoration; toilet building; drinking water projects; road drainage projects; recycling projects; stove building; and construction work on our partner organization’s own Children's home.
Education program
Depending on their medical qualifications volunteers with a background in healthcare will work closely with rural village. The need is extensive for children’s' health care. Projects could include; health checks, the creation of medical records, health and sanitation education; administering inoculations against childhood diseases and treating basic ailments in the village. Volunteers with health education and first aid training can also provide real benefits to local communities. You can also deliver first aid knowledge to the local villages and assist in developing and delivering First Aid and General Health Programs. Please note that for the health program we prefer medical students or advanced degree holders, however, volunteers with basic experience in this area can also be placed. We will require your resume or C.V. with your application.
Environmental Awareness program
If you have a passion for the environment it is possible to teach environmental awareness in local schools, within the community. Environmental Awareness activities and programmers can also be undertaken in the plan. In this setting projects could include; informing children about the hazards of inappropriate garbage disposal, building a compost bin and teaching the children how to maintain it, creating paper recycling stations to teach the children a valuable skill that could ultimately be used in their future.
Cultural Exchange/ Home Stay
This program is a fantastic way to get more experience of your lifetime. In this program you will be placed with a Nepali family in a small rural village or within a city for the duration of your stay. You'll learn about all aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, language, food and people - an unforgettable experience. You should remember that this is a cultural exchange so you should try and offer some knowledge of your own home culture and customs to your host family. During your home-stay you will attend language lessons in the morning and in the afternoon. You can spend the day visiting the local village and school and exploring the local area. You will also have the opportunity to help out at the local school. Home-stay programs can only be arranged for two weeks or one month and are best from August to December, which is the time when most large local festivals take place resulting in an overall more exciting experience. Please note that if you choose a home-stay/cultural exchange you will be placed with your host family as soon as you arrive in Nepal.
Working Together for a Dream….
We can hear the dream, listen for the opportunities we can provide for its fulfillment, present those options while listening for alternatives, and then do what we do best: help these people with a dream of a better community, nation or world raise the on-going, supplemental or initial funding that will make the dreams happen.
We make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children and their families by evolving a free school education program in government schools.
Realizing the fact that every child has a right to education, we continue to works towards its vision to ensure that: ‘No child in Nepal shall be deprived of education.'
