Nepal : Land of Himalayas

Nepal is the land of great Himalayas, Lord Buddha and the land of perfect blends of ancient beauty and modernity; with so many geographical and cultural diversities. Nepal as "a yam between two boulders", that separates the Asian giants of China and India. It is rich in scenic splendor and cultural treasures.  As for its people --- from the Tharus that shares their land with the splendid Asian tuskers in the plains to the brave Yak herders of Dolpo --- they are as amazing as the land itself. Here in its tropical jungles, the one horned Rhino prowls, and higher up, the legend of the Yeti lives on. Although modernization has set in, the quintessence of ancient Nepal remains amongst its people. But above all, Nepal is a nation of unaffected villagers and terraced hillsides - more then eighty percent of the population lives off the land - and whether you're trekking; sightseeing around the city, sampling this simple lifestyle is perhaps the greatest pleasure of all.
